About Traphx

What is it?

TraphX allows you to monitor the traffic impact of an ongoing project. It provides real-time insights into the current traffic conditions around your project, enabling you to compare travel times and traffic volumes during execution with a reference period.

How does it work?

TraphX offers three key functionalities: Viewer, Traffic Analysis, and Monitor. Below is an explanation of each feature.

Viewer

The Viewer provides a clear overview of current traffic conditions or allows you to view historical data for a chosen moment in the past. This gives users insight into network speeds, helping identify potential bottlenecks. If applicable, it also shows recorded incidents, using various data sources. Additionally, it displays past and current messages on Dynamic Route Information Panels (DRIPs) and indicates whether there was precipitation at the time. Users can toggle different data types and sources on and off using checkboxes.

Traffic Analyse

This tab allows for a more in-depth look at traffic volumes and travel times at the road segment and route level. Users can select a route on the map to view travel times or choose a measurement point for traffic intensity data. The information can be displayed for a specific day or as an average over a selected period.

Monitor

The Monitor is designed to track real-time traffic developments at an operational level during project execution. Users can pre-select up to 10 locations where they want to monitor travel times and traffic intensities. We ensure the setup is ready before the project begins

The Monitor combines the map and real-time traffic data from the Viewer with graphs displaying data for the selected routes and measurement points. Throughout the day, the graphs populate with travel time or intensity data, plotted against the time of day. Performance is compared to an average period of up to five days of the same weekday (e.g., Monday vs. previous Mondays). By default, it uses the last five days of the same type, but users can adjust this reference period as needed.
